XReady terms of use

Last updated 20 October 2026.

These are the terms for XReady at xready.com.au.

1. Who we are

XReady is run by The Trustee for TDBM, ABN 60 368 962 309 ("we", "us"). It is part of the XTutio family of products and is sold at xready.com.au.

Contact us at hello@xtutio.com.

These terms are between you and us. By making an account or starting a trial you agree to them. Please read them first.

2. What XReady is

XReady is online Foundation, OC and Selective practice papers with model answers, for children in Years 3 to 9.

XReady is independent. It is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, ACARA or the NSW Department of Education. NAPLAN, OC and Selective are the names of other organisations' tests; XReady's papers are original practice papers written in their style.

We do not promise any mark, rank, place or result. Practice helps, but no practice product can promise an outcome in a real test.

3. Your account

  • An account is held by a parent or guardian who is 18 or over.
  • You add the children who will use it. XReady gives each one their own login. You are responsible for what is done under your account.
  • Your XReady account is separate from any account you hold with another XTutio product, even if you use the same email address. Each product has its own sign-in, password and bill.
  • Keep your password to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has it.
  • Give us accurate details and keep them up to date.

4. Price, free trial and renewal

The price is A$9.99 a month per family, or A$99.90 a year per family if you choose the yearly plan (two months free), in Australian dollars. It is charged to your card in advance, each month or each year, through our payment provider. Prices include GST. The price shown is the price you pay.

Free trial. A new account can start a 7-day free trial. You must give a card to start it, and each card can start one free trial for each product. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, we charge the first payment when it ends.

The monthly plan renews every month and the yearly plan renews every year, on the day your first payment was taken, until you cancel. We email you before the trial ends and before a yearly plan renews.

We show you the price, the billing period, the date the trial ends and that the subscription renews automatically next to the button you press to start. We email you before the trial ends.

There are no extra fees and nothing pre-ticked. The price you see is the price you pay.

Price changes. We will not change the price of your subscription without telling you in writing at least 30 days before the change applies, and you may cancel before it applies and pay nothing more. We do not change the price during a period you have already paid for.

5. Cancelling

You can cancel online at any time from your account page, in as few steps as it took to join. You do not need to phone or write to us.

If you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for (the month or the year) and are not charged again. If you cancel during the free trial before it ends, you are not charged.

We do not charge a cancellation fee.

Instead of cancelling, you can pause a monthly subscription for 1, 2 or 3 months once the free trial is over. Yearly plans can be cancelled but not paused. Nothing is charged while a plan is paused. Your results are kept, but you cannot open papers or practice until the pause ends, and then the subscription starts again by itself.

6. Refunds and your rights under the law

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

Apart from those rights, we do not refund part of a period that has already been paid for. The 7-day free trial is never charged if you cancel before it ends.

7. The code for another product

After you subscribe to XReady we give you a code for 20% off another XTutio product, for the first 3 months of that subscription. You enter it at that product's checkout.

A code works on monthly plans only, can be used once and expires 90 days after we issue it. It has no cash value, applies only to a new subscription and cannot be combined with another offer.

The code is the only thing that connects your account with another product's account. We do not link the two accounts.

8. How you may use it

  • Use it for your own household's learning.
  • Do not share your login outside your household, copy, publish or sell the papers or answers, or use a program to collect them.
  • XReady is on screen only. Printable PDFs are not part of a subscription.
  • Do not misuse the service or try to break it.

9. Our content

The papers, questions, explanations and designs in XReady are ours or used with permission. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use them for your own learning while your account is open. Everything else is reserved.

10. AI marking of written answers

XReady marks written answers by AI straight after a paper is handed in. It marks against the paper's own marking guide or, for a short answer, against the paper's model answer or an example answer. A written question with no marking guide or example answer is not marked by AI, and the review says so. Multiple-choice and number answers are marked by rules, not AI.

An AI mark is a guide. It is not a mark from the test makers, and it is not a NAPLAN, OC or Selective mark. A teacher may mark differently, and the AI can be wrong. The review labels every AI mark as a guide, and AI marks are shown in their own panel and are never added to the marks the rules gave.

A parent controls AI for their child. AI marking runs only while the parent's AI setting for the child allows it and our age limits for AI allow it. If AI is switched off, nothing is marked by AI and the review says so plainly.

AI requests are processed by Anthropic in the United States. Only the child's answer, the question and the paper's marking guide or example answer are sent. The child's name is replaced first, and we send no email address, school or other personal details. The child's answer is checked for anything worrying before it goes, and a worrying answer is held for a person to look at instead of being marked.

11. Children

XReady is used by children in Years 3 to 9. A parent or guardian creates and controls the account and each child's login, and agrees to these terms for the child. We collect only what we need to run the practice. We do not advertise to children or send them marketing, a child cannot buy anything, and we do not sell personal information. You can ask us to delete a child's information at any time. There are no ads.

12. The service and changes

We take reasonable care to keep the service running, but it may sometimes be unavailable for maintenance or faults.

We may update the content and the service. If we make a change that materially reduces what you paid for, you may cancel and we will refund the unused part of the period.

We may change these terms only for a good reason, such as a change in the law or in how the service works, and will tell you in writing at least 30 days before the change applies. If you do not agree you may cancel.

13. Limits on our responsibility

To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for loss that was not reasonably foreseeable, or for results in any test. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be limited.

14. If we end your account

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, after telling you why where we can. If we close an account when you have not broken the terms, we will refund the unused part of the period you paid for.

15. Privacy

How we handle personal information is in the XReady privacy policy at xready.com.au/privacy.

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of New South Wales, and you and we submit to the courts of that State.

XReady is independent. It is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, ACARA or the NSW Department of Education. NAPLAN, OC and Selective are the names of other organisations' tests; XReady's papers are original practice papers written in their style.

XReady in short

These are the terms for XReady, a subscription of Foundation, OC and Selective practice papers. They cover accounts, the 7-day free trial, monthly billing and cancelling online.
